It will now slide out backwards by reversing the angle of pull. Be sure not to drive too far over the top of the anchor or you risk getting your line caught in the prop. Breakaway Release. No More Stuck Anchors! Whether above a reef, oyster bed, rocky bottom, or any other tangled surface, simply apply enough force and your Grappler anchor will release from its fixed position.

Our custom coating, available in an assortment of colors, provides an added layer of protection for your Grappler. The ability to add personalized stenciling makes your anchor as unique as your boat.

Fasten your chain with shackle to the bottom trip, and run the chain up the side of the anchor, zip-tying it to the top-loop.

Should your anchor get stuck, simply apply force, snapping the zip-tie and releasing your anchor from the bottom. Unlike many anchors, The Grappler is composed of lightweight aluminum, making it light enough to throw but durable enough to withstand even the toughest marine conditions. Unlike other companies in the marine industry, we keep lead out of our products. This is part of our commitment to keeping the environment and boaters safe.

Simply apply force, release the anchor from its position, hoist it back onto your boat, and bend it back to its original condition. This zip tie may be too light weight and may break under a light load, but the last thing you want is a zip tie that doesn't break when you need it to. What I recommend is to initially go down to your local hardware store and pick up a few different sizes and strengths, but definitely error on the side of caution, and work your way up until you find the right zip tie you need for your anchor.

As I mentioned earlier, it will depend on a lot of factors, but if you often anchor in the same area or areas, in the same boat, you will quickly get it dialed in.

At that point you can keep a handful of that size in your boat at all times. If I find that my zip ties on my anchor are breaking too often on a certain day, in a certain area, I will use 2 zip ties together on my anchor and I know that my boat can break 2 of them off if necessary.

Another method that I have heard people use is, wrapping the zip tie 2 or 3 times before securing it. I have not tried this, but this may help as well.
