However, it is my understanding that Microsoft is not officially supporting any earlier versions of MS Office in Vista before So for instance, if you can run Office in Vista without problems, that's great! I get an error message that goes something like this. I found a way to open a the needed file. At this point the installation stops. Go to the installation disk and open or explore, there should be a notebook file with the product ID on the disk somewhere from what I remember, then just copy and paste into the appropriate space and it should work.
