Downloaded datapack file was corrupt

My plan was to switch to iCloud for cloud storage. However, I have since discovered that all of documents are corrupt, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel files. Images are OK. All files were renamed such that "survey results. I am desperate for a solution to restore these files, as they contain all of my personal and professional documents from the past 12 years including classes I developed from scratch and even my dissertation.
